Turning the Page

This session will be about letting go of your past. Looking at how to turn the page of your heart and mind together. I have learned that if we hold on to the pain that we have received and make promises to our self about how we will avoid this in the future. I know from my past that this only causes you more pain.

Freedom is not just a word, but a call to action. God wants us to let go of pain and see how he can make this pain change into a beautiful garden. We are looking for beautiful tree of knowledge, but God has so much more for each one of us to have. I have learned to stop understand why and see how God can use my life. God does not see all the brokenness. God calls each one of us to live an abundant life.

After looking up all nine of the fruits of the spirit definition I see God's road map for my life. Faithfulness gains quality of life. Self-Control reminds me to check my emotions. Patience is giving space for others. Goodness and Gentleness is understanding how to show God's love to a broken world. Joy, Kindness, peace, and love are the greatest gift we can use to be set apart for God's calling on our life.

In John 12:24 Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit. (ESV) I feel this is calling each one of us to find community. This could be stepping out in faith to start a group. Each one of us has a calling to build God's family. I want my life to be like the grain of wheat that will bear much fruit.

My prayer for each one of you listening today is to see that you are called. Stand up and know that God will lead if you willing to go. I am looking forward to seeing all of the new pages God is going to create.
